Unfortunately the Turkish Fulbright Commission has a limited number of very competitive positions in the Student Scholarship Program. However, for students with the necessary English language skills and good grades, there are many other funding options available to fund a degree program in the US.

 

 

First, make sure you are a member of our Facebook page. On the page you will see the EducationUSA tab, where you can find the Weekly Updates, with scholarship announcements from US universities renewed every Monday. These announcements may be for prospective undergraduate or graduate students as well as for those looking for masters, doctoral and post-doctoral research funding.

 

 

Next, make sure you are familiar with our other scholarship programs such as the FLTA for teachers of English and the Opportunity Grants Program. For students wishing to apply to US universities on their own, the OG Program can be helpful in covering the upfront costs of applying to US universities.

 

 

There are also sources in Turkey such as the Ministry of Education, the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, as well as Turkish Education Foundation scholarships for those wanting to study in the US.  

 

 

Furthermore, most universities offer scholarships and assistantships for international students and jobs on campus, which could also offset some of the costs. These opportunities can be found on the individual program and department websites.
