LANGUAGE STUDY IN THE US
There are many English language schools in the US. The easiest way to search for these schools online is to use the following websites, which filter the language schools according to geographic location. Then you can check their individual websites for more detailed and the most up to date information.
You can also use the libraries at the Turkish Fulbright Commission offices to look through brochures from various language schools. Click here for the contact information of the Fulbright Commission offices to call for an appointment.
Once you have selected the school to which you will apply and paid the application fee (usually $100), you need to send them your application package which will consist of your application (this may also be online)and bank statement to demonstrate that you have adequate funds to cover the tuition and living expenses.
Upon receiving your materials, the school will issue you an I-20, which is the official document you will use to apply for a visa. To find out how to apply for a student visa click here.
Remember that the Fulbright Commission offices also hold Pre-Departure Orientation sessions that all students can attend free of charge. At these sessions our educational advisers will discuss these topics. Check our events calendar to find out which dates are available and email the office whose session you wish to attend and let them know which session and date you are interested in.
Please contact our advisers with any questions related to studying in the US.
